The Ulster-Scots Dance Alliance was established
in March 2003 when a number of community-based groups,
engaged in the development of Highland Dance in Ulster,
came together to form an umbrella organisation.

The primary purpose of the Alliance is to promote
the dance traditions associated with Ulster-Scots culture,
specifically Highland Dancing, although other dance forms
will also be included, for example country dance and dance
styles unique to Ulster.
